Board members get a behind-the-scenes tour of lab on June 8
On June 8, members of the Board of Lady Managers and other invited guests were given a tour of the newly enhanced Simulation Lab at Inova Alexandria Hospital. The Simulation Lab gives new nursing graduates, as well as critical response units like the Emergency Department, NICU, and ICU an opportunity to practice their skills in a controlled setting with fellow team members. The Lab provides for inter-professional collaboration of teaching and learning to enhance patient safety, teamwork, critical thinking, research, and the patient experience for the Alexandria community. The Board is a proud supporter of technological innovations at Inova Alexandria Hospital and has been supporting the hospital since its inception in 1872.
